Inverness has a wide range of different restaurants, bars and pubs. Please see below a selection of them and our own experience of dining with them.
The nearest restaurant and bar is Rocpool Reserve on Culduthel Road. I would say together with Abstract, the best restaurant in Inverness. Food is excuisite! They also have a trendy bar and it’s only a 7 minute walk away! (see if you can beat our personal record of 5 min. 35 sec!)
Rocpool restaurant (different owner) is also close by and serves great food. We’ve never been dissapointed. Highly recommended.
Glenmoriston Abstract and Contrast restaurant. Excellent restaurants overlooking the river Ness. Highly recommended.
Bella Italia on Bridge Street. One of my favourite restaurants for a nice meal with friends. As the name suggests it offers Italian food but not just pizza’s and pasta’s. Great service and atmoshphere.
Castle Tavern, traditional pub, always busy and great atmosphere!
Hootananny, probably the best known pub/music venue in town! Traditional live music, food and beer.
Johnny Foxes, always busy place close to the river Ness.
La Tortilla Asesina, Spanish tapas restaurant with an impressive selection of 41 tapas on the menu! Open 7 days a week.
Pazzo’s Pizza Restaurant, recommended by a few of our previous guests. Good food and reasonably priced. Open 7 days a week from 5 to 10pm.
